ROME, Ga. (4/23/24) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team meets Southern Miss in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Wednesday at 9 a.m. (CT) at the Rome Tennis Center.
A-State (8-14, 2-9 Sun Belt) is the No. 12 seed meeting No. 13 seed Southern Miss (4-14, 0-10 Sun Belt) in the first round. The winner faces No. 5 seed Coastal Carolina Thursday at 9 a.m. (CT).
The Red Wolves are coming off a 4-1 victory against Southern Miss in the regular season finale. A-State finished the regular season with eight victories, most since finishing the 2012 season with 11. The Red Wolves won multiple conference matches for just the fourth time since 2011. A win on Wednesday would the first for A-State at the SBC Tournament since 2015.
