Red Wolves Hold Six Wins After Two Days at Prairie View Invitational

ARLINGTON, Texas (1/28/22) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team holds a 6-4 record heading into the final day of the Prairie View Invitational held at the Bowling International Training and Research Center.
 
A-State (32-17) is eighth in the 12-team field with 9,892 total pinfall, an average of 197.8. Vanderbilt holds the overall pinfall lead at 10,311 (206.2) pins with Nebraska (10,203) and Sam Houston State (10,202) second and third, respectively.
 
Playing five traditional matches Saturday, the Red Wolves went 2-3 to stand at 6-4 for the weekend. A-State was edged by Nebraska (1023-910), Sam Houston State (1080-872) and Vanderbilt (1008-951), but topped Prairie View A&M (1043-911) and Louisiana Tech (973-825). Brooklyn Buchanan paced the Red Wolves with 1,042 pins, an average of 208.4. Emma Stull averaged 196.4 (982) and Faith Welch downed 979 pins (195.8).
 
One additional traditional match pits the Red Wolves against McKendree Sunday at 8:25 a.m. Bracket play best of seven Baker matches begin at 9:50 a.m. Subscription based live video is available on BOWL.TV and live scoring is available via BowlingITRC.
