LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (3/24/26) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team finished fourth among 17 teams at the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate.
A-State turned in a final round 3-under par 285 to total 8-under par 856. Marquette won the event at 21-under 843 and was followed by Iowa State (-17) and Nebraska (-10) in the top three. Maryland (-3), UTSA (-2), Oral Roberts (E), Denver (+3), Wisconsin (+4) and Minnesota (+8) completed the top 10.
Cole Kirby was the top finisher for the Red Wolves in a tie for 18th at a career-best 2-under par 214. Kirby turned in a final round even-par 72 following a 1-over 73 and a 3-under 69 on Monday. Jake Wallis was 1-over par in the final round and tied for 22nd with a total of 1-under par 215 (75-67-73). Thomas Schmidt carded a 1-under 71 Tuesday to tie for 29th at 1-over par 217 (73-73-71). Jake Lile tied for 37th at 3-over par 219 (72-78-69) behind a final round 3-under par 69 and Milan Reed tied for 41st at 4-over 220 (71-73-76). Playing as an individual, Viggo Hed tied for 18th at 2-under 214.
The Red Wolves remain in Arizona and visit Ak-Chin Southern Dunes for the Cowboy Classic March 31-April 1. The A-State Spring Invitationals is April 13-14 at RidgePointe Country Club.
