LAWRENCE, Kan. (10/7/25) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team finished 10th among 14 teams at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational hosted by the University of Kansas at Lawrence Country Club.
A-State closed out the event with a 32-over par 316 to total 73-over par 925 on the par-71, 6,095-yard course. Kansas won the team title at 3-over par 855 with Missouri (+17), Cal State Fullerton (+27), UC Davis (+37) and Cal Baptist (+40) completing the top five. UC Irvine (+47), Notre Dame (+49), Delaware (+63) and Central Arkansas (+64) rounded out the nine teams ahead of A-State. For the tournament, the scoring average was 5.59 above par at 76.59, including a 77.97 scoring average Tuesday.
Olivia Coit and Anne-Lea Lavoie were the top finishers for A-State at 17-over par 230. Lavoie had the low round of the day for the Red Wolves at 2-over par 73 while Coit was 12-over par 83. Ceci Lococo totaled 18-over par 231 to place tied for 44th while Mackenzie Cloutier tied for 48th at 19-over par 232. Morgan Beaulieu (+24) tied for 61st and Sofia Bastidas (+27) tied for 64th to round out the A-State players in the field.
The Lady Red Wolves Classic is Oct. 13-14 at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro. Live scoring will be available on SCOREBOARD.
