NORFOLK, Va. (10/24/25) – Arkansas State soccer (3-7-4, 1-6-2 SBC) worked from behind for the majority of the match in the three-goal loss to Old Dominion (9-2-4, 5-1-3 SBC).
A goal for the Monarchs in the third minute left the Red Wolves hunting for the equalizer early. ODU found their second goal in the 33rd minute with a cross from outside the box. With just five seconds left in the first half, Old Dominion was awarded a penalty kick, which landed out of reach and into the back of the net.
The second half saw swings from both sides, with three shots from A-State and 10 by Old Dominion, but no change in the score. The Red Wolves had four set piece opportunities from the corners, and another one on a free kick just outside the box, with all five attempts ending out of play or cleared.
