NORMAN, Okla. (10/18/25) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team concluded play at the ITA Central Regional Championships with eight singles and two doubles victories over three days of competition at the University of Oklahoma.

“I am so proud of our ladies and the way they competed this weekend,” said A-State head coach Sujay Lama. “The level of tennis was incredible, but more importantly the poise and determination they displayed was amazing. This level of play only strengthens our resolve as we continue to build toward the spring season,”

Playing in the round of 32 singles main draw, sophomore Lilly Cvanciger battled Roisin Gilheany of Oklahoma, but fell 6-4, 6-4. The hard-fought match had just one break of serve in the first set and Cvanciger was up a break 4-3 in the second set.

In consolation matches of the main draw Saturday, Anna Grigoreva knocked off Natalia Koppova of Memphis 6-4, 6-4. Hanmare McAslin came up short in a battle with Theodora Chantava of Wichita State, 7-6 (2), 6-0.

A-State completes the ITA Central Regionals with a 10-9 head-to-head record and moves to 56-41 head-to-head this fall, 17-13 in doubles and 39-28 in singles. The Red Wolves continue their fall slate Nov. 7-9 at the Cal State Northridge Invite.
