JONESBORO, Ark. (2/14/26) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team completed the weekend sweep with a 4-0 win over Lamar Saturday at RidgePointe Country Club.
A-State (3-3) swept the doubles point for an early advantage over Lamar (4-2). Lilly Cvanciger and Carla Muro Castellvi cruised to a 6-3 win on court one and Anna Grigoreva and Helena Bueno clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win on court two. Sarah Millard and Hanmare McAslin closed out court three with a 6-3 victory.
Grigoreva cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Valerya Zagynayko on court two giving the Red Wolves a 2-0 lead. Hanmare McAslin followed with a 6-0, 6-2 victory on court three and Cvanciger clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory on court one.
A-State returns to action Saturday, Feb. 21, in Fort Myers, Fla, facing Mercer with first serve at 10:00 a.m.
