MONROE, La. (4/2/24) – Closing out its regular season slate, the Arkansas State women’s golf team finished runner-up at the ULM Invitational Tuesday.
A-State closes the regular season with top five finishes in five of 10 events played, including winning two events and a runner-up this week. The Red Wolves turned in a 7-over par 295 to total 15-over par 879 for the tournament, two strokes ahead of host ULM for third. Sam Houston was 6-under in the final round and won the event at 4-under 860 for the tournament. A-State picks up wins over ULM (+17), Southern Miss (+20), Troy (+38) and South Alabama (+152) by way of its second-place finish.
Morgan Beaulieu was the top finisher for the Red Wolves as she placed tied for 15th with a total of 219 (76-70-73). Ashley Kim continued her consistent play finishing tied for 21st at 4-over par 220 (74-73-73) and Anne-Lea Lavoie finished 26th totaling 6-over par 222 (68-81-73). Olivia Coit (+10) tied for 35th, Madison Tenore (+11) tied for 41st, Charlotte Menager (+14) tied for 50th, Sofia Bastidas (+18) tied for 60th and Shannon Berry (+30) tied for 72nd to round out the A-State players in the field.
The Sun Belt Conference Championship is April 15-18 at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Ala. The top four teams advance to the match play portion of the championship on April 18 to decide the champion.
