JONESBORO, Ark. (12/9/25) – Five Red Wolves hit double digits on the way to Arkansas State’s (8-3, 0-0 SBC) sixth win in a row against Southern Arkansas (5-3, 1-1 GAC), defeating the Muleriders 97-46 Tuesday night in First National Bank Arena.
 
The Red Wolves forced 37 turnovers, the second most of the season behind the 38 forced vs Houston (Nov. 28); recorded 22 steals, the fourth-most in program history; sored 14 threes, tied for sixth-most in program history and tied for most this season (Kent State, Nov. 30)
 
Mimi McCollister came off the bench to lead the team with 18 points on 50 percent shooting (5-for-10) and seven rebounds, followed by Crislyn Rose and Mia Tarver with 16 each, and D’Arrah Allen and Zyion Shannon with 14 each.
 
Wynter Rogers led the team with eight rebounds and four Red Wolves tied with a team-high three assists.
 
Arkansas State missed eight of their first 10 shots while the Muleriders found the net on five of their first six threes which gave SAU the lead in the last three minutes of the opening frame. Back-to-back threes from Mia Tarver and Crislyn Rose cut the lead back down but a pair of free throws gave Southern Arkansas a 23-16 lead.
 
The Red Wolves turned up the heat after the first quarter break to hold Southern Arkansas to just 14 percent (2 of 14) and seven total points in the quarter. A-State opened the quarter outscoring SAU 17-3, fueled by two Tarver threes in a row. The intensity held throughout the quarter as Southern Arkansas was held scoreless over the final three and a half minutes.
 
Arkansas State continued to pull away throughout the second half, with Rose going 3-for-3 in the quarter and McCollister scoring eight to lead the team. SAU was held to just nine points again on 40 percent shooting (4 of 10) for a 31-9 third quarter score.
 
A-State held the Muleriders again to just seven points while scoring 23 of their own, and was led by Allen who scored nine points, making three of her five shots (60 percent), one of three from deep (33 percent), and hitting both free throws.
