OXFORD, Miss./STARKVILLE, Miss. (3/22/24) – A strong outdoor debut by Michelle Ogbemudia highlighted Friday competition for the Arkansas State track and field squads at the Ole Miss Classic and Alumni Bulldog Relays.
In Oxford, Ogbemudia uncorked a top throw of 53.62m (175-11) to place 10th in the women’s hammer throw. Her mark moved her to sixth in program history in the event. Menachem Chen placed 25th in the men’s hammer throw with a mark of 39.46m (129-5).
At the Alumni Bulldog Relays in Starkville, Bella Coscetti placed sixth in the women’s pole vault, clearing 3.72m (12-2.5).
Miranda Burgett tied for third in the high jump with a clearance of 1.60m (5-3), a height also cleared by Kaci Andrus and Madison Holloway, who placed seventh and eighth, respectively. Izzy Daines finished tied for 10th with a mark of 1.55m (5-1).
Alden Wetzel and Colby Eddowes placed 22nd and 26th, respectively, in the men’s discus. Wetzel registered a toss of 34.88m (114-5) with Eddowes throwing the implement 33.05m (108-5).
