Colby Eddowes – Decathlon
Colby Eddowes secured his first career trip to the Outdoor Championships after totaling 7,681 points and finishing as the No. 2 collegian in the decathlon at the Mt. SAC relays on April 18-19. The Canberra, Australia, native posted career-best marks in four of the 10 events and ranks 18th nationally entering the two-day event on June 11-12. By qualifying for nationals, Eddowes will be A-State’s first decathlete at the championships since 2008.
Noa Isaia – Men’s Hammer Throw
Sophomore Noa Isaia makes his first career appearance at the Outdoor Championships, opening up competition Wednesday afternoon in the hammer throw. The Sun Belt champion earned his spot by placing ninth in the hammer throw at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. He posted a 65.97 (216-5) mark, ranking fifth among the 12 participants in Flight 1. Isaia is the second A-State thrower in the last three seasons to reach the outdoor championships in the hammer throw.
Bradley Jelmert – Men’s Pole Vault
Bradley Jelmert earned his second trip to the Outdoor Championships and first since 2023 on May 28 at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. The 2025 Sun Belt champion boasts a season-best height of 5.55m (18-2.5), which he set at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays en route to winning the university elite section of the event, and has him tied for seventh nationally. He secured his spot at nationals with a 5.42m (17-9.25) height in the pole vault, tying for sixth among the 24 contestants. Jelmert is the program’s first men’s pole vaulter with multiple trips to the outdoor championships since Brad Tyler in 2000 and 2001.
Carly Pujol – Women’s Pole Vault
Carly Pujol concludes her record-breaking season in the women’s pole vault on Thursday at the Outdoor Championships. The Cape Girardeau, Mo., native completed the indoor/outdoor sweep in her event at the conference championships and broke her own school record with a mark of 4.31m (14-1.75). She broke the record again on May 29 at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds, clearing 4.42m (14-6) on her third attempt to become the first women’s pole vaulter to advance to the outdoor championships since Stephanie Foreman in 2013. The mark ties for first among the 24 contestants entering nationals.
