JONESBORO, Ark. (10/22/25) – Following a career-best performance at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, Arkansas State cross country’s Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo received Sun Belt Conference Men’s Runner of the Week honors, the league announced Wednesday.
The Gatesville, Texas, native established a new personal best in the 8K by 1:38.8, clocking in at 23:46.6 to finish 25th out of 323 participants. His performance helped guide the team to a 13th place finish in College Station.
The weekly award is the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Freshman and Newcomer of the Year’s first cross country weekly honor as a member of the Scarlet and Black.
