JONESBORO, Ark. (4/16/25) – Arkansas State women’s basketball announces the addition of junior Jaidyn Elam from South Georgia Tech College.
Standing at 5-11, Head Coach Destinee Rogers is excited for the size and versatility Elam brings to the Red Wolves. “She is a big guard that can shoot the ball, get downhill, and is a great rebounder.”
In her sophomore season at South Georgia Tech, Elam averaged 12.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in the 31 games played. Elam scored a season-high 29 points, going 6-of-17 from the field, 4-of-7 from three, and 7-of-8 at the stripe in the Feb. 21 game against Andrew. On the season, she averaged 33 percent from the field and 71 percent on free throws.
In her freshman season at Oakland University, Elam averaged 6 minutes per game across 15 games, averaging 1.7 points and 1.1 rebounds, hitting a season-high 10 points and seven rebounds against Cleary (11/8). The Pontiac, Michigan native is a graduate of Detroit County Day High School, where she averaged 15.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block per game in her senior season.
