JONESBORO, Ark. (5/29/25) – With the 2025 Arkansas State football season less than 100 days away, television designations were released Thursday for six of the Red Wolves’ 12 regular-season contests while game times were announced for five of the six home games. 

The Red Wolves begin their fifth season under head coach Butch Jones with the 15th all-time meeting against Southeast Missouri on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Centennial Bank Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. with the broadcast on ESPN+. A-State and Arkansas meet for the first time on Sept. 6 at Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m. and the broadcast on ESPN+ and SEC Network+. 

A-State hosts Iowa State on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Centennial Bank Stadium in front of a nationally-televised audience on ESPN2. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. for the first home non-conference game on linear television since the 2016 season opener against Toledo aired on ESPNU. A-State’s non-conference finale at Kennesaw State on Sept. 20 is set for a 5:00 p.m. (CT) kickoff on ESPN Platforms.  

The Red Wolves’ Tuesday, Oct. 14 contest at South Alabama will air on ESPN2 with kickoff slated for 6:30 p.m. A-State’s home finale against the Ragin’ Cajuns on Thursday, Nov. 20, will air on ESPN with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m., giving the Red Wolves at least three regular-season linear TV contests for the 14th time over the last 16 seasons. 

A-State also announced game times for two additional home contests, pending television designations two weeks prior to kickoff. The Saturday, Oct. 4, contest against Texas State and Homecoming contest against Georgia Southern on Saturday, Oct. 25, will kick off at 6:00 p.m. The Saturday, Nov. 8, contest against Southern Miss remains to be announced. 

As previously announced by the league office, the Sun Belt Football Championship Game will move to Friday, Dec. 5, and will air on ESPN at 6:00 p.m. (CT). The game will feature the champions of the conference’s East and West Divisions and will be played at the site of the divisional winner with the best overall conference record. 

The Red Wolves are coming off back-to-back bowl appearances, including a win in the 2024 68 Ventures Bowl against Bowling Green. A-State is among four FBS programs to increase its regular season win total every season since 2022.
