JONESBORO, Ark. (6/9/26) – Arkansas State senior reliever Cooper Garrison was named to the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Second Team.
 
Garrison made 27 appearances for the Red Wolves out of the pen, often in save and swing scenarios, and tossed 42.0 innings for a 2-2 record, a 3.86 ERA, and led the Sun Belt Conference and was top-40 nationally in saves with eight. With a 1.31 WHIP, Garrison let up just 18 earned runs and 48 hits, while striking out 34 batters on the season.
 
Garrison’s first save of the season came in Fayetteville with a four-inning masterpiece to slam the door on any Arkansas comeback for the Red Wolves’ first ever win against the Razorbacks. His very next appearances came against UAPB, where he earned his first win of the season with 3.0 innings in relief.
 
Garrison also recorded saves in back-to-back appearances in the series finale against Coastal Carolina, and the Friday night victory at ULM, holding off the Chanticleers for the final inning and shutting out the Warhawks for six outs, three on strikeouts.
 
Garrison was also recognized nationally, named to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List.
