PITTSBURG, Kan./NASHVILLE, Tenn. (2/11/22) – Competing in two separate meets, a pair of school records fell on Friday for the Arkansas State track and field teams.

At the Indoor Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan., A-State’s men’s distance medley relay squad of Seth Waters, Kobey Hill, Lasse Funck and Bennett Pascoe shattered the previous school record by nearly 12 seconds, notching a time of 9:39.96 that is No. 2 all-time in Sun Belt history and currently ranks ninth in the NCAA.

Later in the night in Nashville at the Music City Challenge, Sophie Leathers moved to the top of the charts in the women’s 5000m at A-State, breaking Kristina Aubert’s program record of 16:46.32 with a mark of 16:44.83.
