JONESBORO, Ark. (12/30/25) – Junior guard Crislyn Rose was named week 8 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week for her efforts at Arkansas.
Rose spearheaded the effort for the Red Wolves’ victory with 15 points, eight assists, two rebounds, one steal, and one block. Arkansas State defeated Arkansas on the road Sunday, December 28, 81-72, with nearly half of the Red Wolves’ assists coming from Rose. Rose shot 6-of-14 (43 percent), with one three made in the final seconds of the first half, and both shots at the free throw line counting.
The Red Wolves are currently riding a nine-game win streak heading into the bulk of conference play, including a perfect 6-0 record in December. During the win streak, two games were on the road (Jackson State and Arkansas), two were neutral site in the Bahamas (Houston and Kent State), and five were at home (FGCU, UT Martin, Southern Arkansas, ULM, and South Alabama).
Arkansas State defeated an SEC opponent for the first time since 2017’s 70-69 victory over Florida, and defeated in-state foe Arkansas for the first time since 2005. The win also marked the first ever in Fayetteville for the Red Wolves against the Razorbacks.
