    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M./BOSTON, Mass./NASHVILLE, Tenn. (2/14/26) – Sophomore distance runner Mia Conroy entered the top five in Arkansas State track and field’s indoor history for the women’s 800 meters, and the Red Wolves concluded action at the David Hemery Valentine and Don Kirby Invitationals along with the Music City Challenge on Saturday.
     
    The Perth, Australia, native clocked in at 2:09.84 in the women’s 800 meters and recorded a top 25 finish in the process. She entered the day at 10th place in A-State’s indoor record book for the event, but ends at third.
     
    Conroy is separated from second place, held by Monika Klebe (1989), by two-tenths of a second.
     
    Omar Hussein earned the highest finish of the day by a Red Wolf, finishing fifth in the men’s shot put with a distance of 17.29m (56-8.75). The freshman now holds the 10th-farthest throw in A-State indoor history for the event.
     
    Jared Moore also finished inside the top 10 for the shot put, throwing a distance of 16.56m (54-4.00) to finish at eighth place.
     
    Colby Eddowes qualified for the men’s 60-meter hurdles final after posting a time of 7.94 in the prelims. He improved the time to 7.86 in the finals and recorded his second top-10 placement of the day with a sixth-place finish.
     
    Malena Cybak led the Scarlet and Black in the women’s mile with a time of 4:59.13, which stands as the ninth fastest in indoor program history.

    A-State track and field heads to Birmingham, Ala., for the Sun Belt Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-24.
