JONESBORO, Ark. (5/2/25) – Arkansas State men’s basketball head coach Ryan Pannone announced Friday the addition of NJCAA All-American Christian Harmon to the 2025-26 roster.
Harmon joins the pack after spending the first two years of his career at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Fla. The 6-6 wing was named the 2025 Panhandle Conference Player of the Year and earned Second Team All-American honors after averaging 16.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in his sophomore campaign.
“Christian Harmon was the Panhandle Conference Player of the Year at Gulf Coast State College,” Pannone said. “He’s an elite-level shooter and one of the best shooters in the country. We’re really excited to get him on campus and think he’s a perfect style fit. With us trying to be number 1 in the country in 3-point attempts, we wanted to go out and try to get some of the best shooters in the country, which Christian will bring to us. On top of that, his ability to create rim pressure with his drives because of his shooting ability, and one of the things that really attracted us to him was his work ethic and commitment to be great. How he’s really developed and improved as a player over the last year shows his commitment and work ethic, as well as what he’s going to put into basketball and what he’s going to provide to our program.”
Helping the Commodores to a 23-10 mark and run to the Panhandle Conference championship game, the Rochester, N.Y., native was one of the nation’s best from beyond the arc. Harmon shot a blistering 47.4 percent from deep, going 101-for-213 on the year and ranking 10th nationally in 3-pointers made. Harmon also shot 48.4 percent from the field and was an 80-percent shooter at the foul line.
As a freshman, Harmon averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest, shooting 35.5 percent from the floor and 72.5 percent at the charity stripe.
Harmon is now the sixth signing for Pannone’s first season leading the Red Wolves, joining Jalen Hampton (Missouri State transfer), Chandler Jackson (Florida State), Matt Hayman (Stephen F. Austin), TJ Caldwell (Ole Miss) and Chudi Dioramma (Sacramento State).
