    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (2/6/26) – Arkansas track and field had 13 athletes establish new personal bests while Zane Cattage and Gavin Schaer claimed a share of an event title in the first day of action at the Fairgrounds Invitational.
     
    Cattage and Schaer posted a 2.02m (6-7.50) mark in the men’s high jump to tie with one more athlete for first place. It is Cattage’s second collegiate first-place finish in the event while Schaer recorded the first event title of his collegiate career.
     
    Alyas Wilson jumped to ninth place in the Red Wolves’ indoor record book for the 60-meter hurdles after recording a time of 8.06. Egor Kniazev claimed the 10th spot in the men’s weight throw with a distance of 18.28m (59-11.75), surpassing his previous best of 17.50m (57-5.00) at the Samford Open on Jan. 17.
     
    Jada Buggs improved on her indoor personal best time of 56.09 in the 400 meters, recorded at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, by five tenths of a second. The sophomore sprinter clocked in at 56.04 to tie Janaya Chambers (2017) for the fifth-fastest time in A-State indoor history for the event.

    A-State track and field will start the final day of action at the Fairgrounds Invitational with the men’s shot put and women’s triple jump at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7.
