MEMPHIS, Tenn. (2/6/26) – Returning to action for the first time in two weeks, the Arkansas State women’s tennis team was dealt a 6-1 decision against BYU in a match played at the Leftwich Tennis Center in Memphis.
 
BYU (6-1) took the doubles points with wins on courts one and two. Lilly Cvanciger and Carla Muro Castellvi came up short 6-2 on court one while Helena Bueno and Anna Grigoreva fell 6-2 on court two. Hanmare McAslin and Sarah Millard trailed 5-3 on court three when the doubles point was clinched.
 
Grigoreva battled on court one against Gracie Levelston but fell in a third-set tiebreak 10-5. Levelston took the first set 7-5, but Grigoreva forced the tiebreak with a 6-4 triumph in the second set. Cvanciger (6-3, 6-3), McAslin (6-4, 7-5), Bueno (6-4, 6-1) and Muro Castellvi (6-1, 6-4) were dealt straight set setbacks on courts two through five, respectively. Meghna Arun Kumar earned a straight-set victory 6-4, 6-3 over Karina Mohamed on court six.
 
A-State remains in Memphis to take on the Tigers Sunday with first serve at 1:30 p.m.
