JONESBORO, Ark. (5/2/25) – Arkansas State women’s basketball head coach Destinee Rogers announced the fifth transfer addition to the 2025-26 roster on Friday, signing sophomore center Yves Cox.
“Yves is exactly the type of big that we need,” said Coach Rogers. “She is athletic, mobile, and will be a force in the paint for us. She plays really hard and will fit perfectly into our system!”
The Savannah, Texas, native joins the program after beginning her collegiate career at Cal State Northridge. She led the Matadors in blocks with 1.1 per game and 28 total while placing second in rebounds with 130 on the season and 5.0 per game.
Cox averaged 4.9 points in 2024-25, reaching double digits three times with a career high of 19 points at Utah State on November 8, 2024. The center recorded 10-plus rebounds four times with a high of 14 against Cal State Fullerton on Jan. 2.
The career highs recorded against the Aggies and Titans contributed to both of her double-doubles in the campaign.
In high school, Cox prepped at Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, earning All-Second Team and Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2023. She averaged 8.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in her time at the high school level.
