JONESBORO, Ark. (5/22/25) – Arkansas State women’s basketball head coach Destinee Rogers announced the completion of the 2025-26 roster on Thursday, signing graduate guard Payton Fields.
“We are so excited to welcome Payton to our family,” said Coach Rogers. “She is a big time shooter that can also score in multiple ways. She will be a great addition that can make an immediate impact right away.”
The El Paso, Texas, native will don the Scarlet and Black following three seasons at St. Bonaventure. She averaged 4.4 points per game with 2.6 rebounds over 66 appearances and 20 starts.
Prior to her time with the Bonnies, Fields netted 370 points and 270 rebounds over 31 starts at Western Nebraska Community College. She helped the Cougars to a 30-3 record and a NJCAA Final Four appearance in 2021-22.
Fields tallied 1,400 career points at Pebble Hills High School, averaging 17.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 steals, and 1.5 assists during her senior season in 2019-20.
