JONESBORO, Ark. (6/4/24) – Arkansas State women’s basketball head coach Destinee Rogers announced Tuesday the addition of four transfer guards to the 2024-25 roster.

Kyanna Morgan transfers to A-State from Southern, where she averaged 5.3 points per game on a 34.7 percent clip. The Charlotte, North Carolina native led the Jaguars in rebounding last season after pulling down 101 boards (3.4 RPG).

Morgan spent her freshman and sophomore seasons at Radford, making 31 three-pointers on 39.2 percent shooting during the 2021-22 season.

Kennedie Montue joins the Red Wolves after spending her first three seasons at Oakland, averaging 6.2 points over 16.2 minutes per game. She ranked fifth on the team in scoring during the 2022-23 campaign, posting 11 double-digit performances during her sophomore season.

Montue signed with the Golden Grizzlies out of Plum Senior High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she was named the 2020-21 Valley News Dispatch Girls Basketball Player of the Year and Valley News Dispatch Girls Athlete Player of the Year.

Lezhauria Williams comes to Jonesboro after one season at SIUE, averaging 13.4 minutes over 32 appearances for the Cougars. She finished with 81 points, 90 rebounds, and 22 assists during her time in Edwardsville.

The Springfield, Illinois native attended Rend Lake Junior College in 2022-23, leading the Warriors in scoring (15.7 PPG), shooting percentage (48.8%), assists (3.4 APG), and steals (2.2 SPG).

Mimi McCollister joins the program after a one-year stint at Old Dominion, averaging 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and swiping 29 steals with the Monarchs. She recorded a career-high 11 points during a 59-48 victory over Buffalo on Nov. 11, 2023.

The Athens, Texas native spent the 2022-23 campaign at Trinity Valley Community College where she was named an All-American Honorable Mention after claiming the Region 14 conference championship and reaching the NJCAA Division I Championship Finals.

“We are so excited to add these four to our roster,” Coach Rogers said. “They all bring something to the equation that we needed and are eager to get here and get to work. We can’t wait to get them on campus in two weeks!”

All four transfers will don the scarlet and black as seniors and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
