ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (9/21/26) – Competing against a stout field of 15 teams, the Arkansas State men’s golf team is tied for eighth with second round play suspended due to darkness at the William H. Tucker Invitational played at the University of New Mexico Championship Course.  

The Red wolves finished 1-under par 287 in the first round but are scored at 5-under par in the second round with 12-14 holes played. San Diego State (-14) holds the team lead followed by Santa Clara (-12), New Mexico (-12), BYU (-11), Colorado (-11), UTEP (-8), Grand Canyon (-7) and Long Beach State (-6) in the top eight and ties. New Mexico State (-5), UNLV (-4), UC Santa Barbara (-4), Arizona (-1), SMU (+3) and Missouri (+6) complete the 15-team standings.

Viggo Hed leads A-State at 3-under par and tied for 16th. Hed totaled 2-under par 70 in the first round and is 1-under with five holes to play in second round. Milan Reed, Jake Lile and Henry Styles are all even-par for the tournament and among a host of players tied for 32nd. Cole Kirby (+1) is tied for 43rd and Jake Wallis (+4) is tied for 70th.
