    Box Score CONWAY, S.C. (3/22/26) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team handed Coastal Carolina its first home loss of the season coming away with a 4-2 victory Sunday at the Stevens Tennis Center.
     
    A-State (8-7) got off to a quick start by winning the doubles point. Helena Bueno and Hanmare McAslin got the first marker with a 6-2 win on court three, but Coastal Carolina (9-3) evened the doubles tally with a 6-3 win over the pair of Anna Grigoreva and Carla Muro Castellvi on court one. Lilly Cvanciger and Sarah Millard outlasted the Chanticleers pair on court two in a tiebreak 7-6 (2) to clinch the doubles point.
     
    “The grit and resilience we had on court today played a major role in our victory,” said Millard. “We played with joy while finding a way to take what we learned from our previous match to drive us towards this success. We look forward to carrying this momentum with us into our match in Texas next week.”
     
    A-State gained a 2-0 advantage with Meghna Arun Kumar topping Brooke Rogers 6-2, 7-6 (4) on court six. McAslin made it 3-0 with a 6-4, 6-4 win on court three, but Diana Zuba topped Cvanciger 6-4, 6-4 on court two and Aida Mitrache downed Bueno 6-4, 7-5 on court three to make it 3-2. Muro Castellvi clinched the victory with a 6-4, 7-6 (2) win over Sarah Clark on court five. Grigoreva was deadlocked with Brunelle Kouam 4-6,6-3, 3-3 on court one when Muro Castellvi clinched the match.
     
    The Red Wolves visit UT Arlington on Friday, March 27, before beginning a four-game home stand Friday, April 3, against Troy.
