    JONESBORO, Ark. (4/10/26) – Arkansas State women’s tennis (11-8) recorded a 4-0 victory over No. 74 South Alabama (11-5) on Friday afternoon at the A-State Tennis Courts.
     
    Hanmare McAslin and Helena Bueno defeated Jade Marie and Cristina Tchanichev in a 6-4 decision. Sarah Millard and Anna Grigoreva dropped the second match versus Ennaciri Manal and Elakili Kenza by a score of 6-3.
     
    Lily Cvanciger and Carla Muro Castellvi clinched the doubles point for A-State after besting Jana Rovira and Rio Maeda in a 7-5 win.
     
    Meghna Arun Kumar secured the first singles point in a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Rovira while Muro Castellvi pushed the match score to 3-0 after defeating Marie in a 7-5, 6-1 sweep. The Red Wolves landed the deciding point when Cvanciger topped Tchanichev 6-3, 7-5.
     
    McAslin led 6-4, 4-3 versus Manal, Grigoreva trailed Maeda 1-6, 5-4 and Millard trailed Elakili 4-6, 3-2 before all three matches were abandoned.
