JONESBORO, Ark. (2/13/26) – Arkansas State women’s tennis opened the weekend with a 7-0 sweep of Tennessee State on Friday at the Jonesboro Country Club.
Helena Bueno and Anna Grigoreva opened the doubles point with a 6-0 decision. Sarah Millard and Hanmare McAslin clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win over the opposition. Lilly Cvanciger and Carla Muro Castellvi closed out a doubles sweep with a 7-6 (4) victory.
Cvanciger defeated Jovana Nikolic in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 and Grigoreva followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Natalie Walsh. McAslin clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-3 sweep versus Julie Tungamirai. Muro Castellvi did not drop a set (6-0, 6-0) in her match with Taylor Ellis and Sarah Millard only surrendered one in a 6-1, 6-0 decision versus Claudia Murdasanu.
Bueno ended Friday’s action with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Aroa Arrieta Castillo.
