    JONESBORO, Ark. (5/1/24) – Announced during the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships Selection Show Wednesday on the GOLF Channel, Sun Belt Conference champion Arkansas State is set to play in the Austin Regional May 13-15 as the No. 12 seed.

    The Red Wolves learned their NCAA Regional destination alongside a crowd of supporters on hand for a selection show watch party held at The Social. Making its seventh all-time appearance in the NCAA Championships, A-State is one of 13 teams and 10 individuals that will compete in the Austin Regional at The University of Texas Golf Club.

    A-State will play a practice round Sunday, May 12 before opening competition on Monday, May 13 at 7:30 a.m. The second and third rounds tee off at 7:30 a.m. (CT) with the low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional advancing to the finals May 24-29 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.

    Including the Red Wolves at No. 90 in the latest rankings, the tournament will feature 12 top 100 programs, including eight in the top 50. No. 5 Tennessee is the top-ranked team in the field joined by No. 8 Arkansas, No. 13 Texas, No. 20 Georgia, No. 29 Wake Forest, No. 32 Notre Dame, No. 41 UNC Greensboro, No. 44 BYU, No. 54 Utah, No. 60 San Jose State, No. 71 Grand Canyon and No. 142 Kansas City.

    Champions of the Sun Belt Conference for the second time in program history, A-State finished the year at 90-64-5 with wins at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate and Sun Belt Conference Championship. A-State has played against UNC Greensboro, BYU, Utah and Kansas City this season for a combined record against of 3-2.
