SMYRNA, Tenn. (3/6/26) – Beginning the final regular season tournament of the season, the Arkansas State women’s bowling team went 4-1 over five Baker matches Friday at the Music City Classic.
A-State (66-30) stands fifth in total pinfall with 5,154 pins in a field that features 34 teams, including 14 of the top 15 teams nationally. Jacksonville State paces the field with 5,565 pins (222.6) with Sam Houston (5,338), Vanderbilt (5,254) and UAB (5,178) completing the top four. North Carolina A&T (5,118), Wichita State (4,978), Louisiana Tech (4,977), Niagara (4,958) and Sacred Heart complete the top 10.
The Red Wolves downed 1,000-plus pins in each of their first four matches. A-State opened with a 1,018-948 win over Belmont Abbey and followed with a 1,041-928 margin against Maryland-Eastern Shore. The Red Wolves rolled their high game of the day with a 1,074-753 tally against Prairie View A&M and then topped No. 4 Wichita State 1,057-1,015. A-State closed out the day against Jacksonville State and came up short 1,096-964.
Five traditional matches await Saturday at the Smyrna Bowling Center.
