FORT WORTH, Texas (11/9/25) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team finished second at the Bulldog Classic that concluded Sunday at Cityview Lanes.
 
A-State (24-15) met No. 1 Jacksonville State to begin bracket play and dropped a 4-1 decision. The Red Wolves fell behind 3-0, 247-204, 258-210, 206-178, before taking game four 256-204. Jacksonville State clinched the match in game five with a 10-pin advantage, 246-236.
 
The Red Wolves faced No. 11 Sacred Heart for the opportunity at a rematch in the title game. A-State swept Sacred Heart 4-0 with wins of 211-169, 244-151, 205-160 and 205-200. Facing Jacksonville State once again, A-State came up short in the best-of-seven series 4-1. Jax State took the first two games, 222-214 and 237-211 before the Red Wolves got on the board 234-212. Jax State closed it out with totals of 247-226 and 212-159.
 
A-State closes out the fall portion of its schedule next week at the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane in Harahan, La.
