Devyn Lewis led the Red Wolves with 12 kills and 12 digs, recording her second career double-double. Daedrianna Cail (10) joined Lewis with double-digit kills and led the team with seven total blocks while Mia Maloney tallied a team-high 16 digs.

Both sides evenly exchanged the first 15 rallies of the match, with Lewis and Haley Glunz landing back-to-back kills to tie the match. A-State surrendered three kills and committed an attack error during a 4-0 run for the opposition, but eventually closed the gap to a 22-21 deficit.
The Trojans claimed three of the final five rallies to thwart the comeback attempt and claim a 1-0 lead in the match.
Two consecutive block assists for Cail and Erin Madigan sparked an 8-2 run to open the second set. The lead reached 11-3 before two 6-0 runs over the next 14 rallies allowed the Scarlet and Black to establish firm control.
The opposition won seven rallies after that point, but a kill from Cail secured the 25-13 decision to even the match.
A-State held a 7-6 advantage before surrendering seven of the next eight rallies to fall behind by four points. Both sides alternated rallies before a 4-0 run highlighted by kills from Cail and Addison Collum tied the third set at 18-18.
The Red Wolves moved ahead 23-21 following back-to-back kills from Glunz, but a 3-0 run from the opposition forced a lead change. The match would be tied in the following rally, but the Trojans claimed the final two and sent the match into the fourth set.
A-State fell behind 8-2 and could not recover, falling behind 17-11 before dropping eight of the final nine rallies to end the match.
