EVANSVILLE, Ind. (9/3/26) – Arkansas State (2-2-2) soccer jumped to an early lead from Kennedy Horn in the opening minutes, and staved off Southern Indiana (0-4-2) for A-State’s first shutout of the season and a 1-0 road win Thursday night at Strassweg Field.
 
Senior Kennedy Horn scored in the fourth minute out of an A-State free kick, assisted by Maya Jones. The Red Wolves measured out their shots evenly, with six in the first half and six in the second, three of each staying on goal, compared to USI’s 15 shots and six total on target.
 
Tindra Cederholm led the squad with three total shots, one remaining on goal. Keeper Taylor Sweat completed her second career shutout and first since 2024.
