HARAHAN, La. (11/17/25) – The sixth-ranked Arkansas State women’s bowling team downed 5,184 pins and went 5-0 on the first day of the Colonial Lanes Classic.
 
A-State (29-15) opened with a 1,057-903 tally against Texas Southern. Despite No. 9 Louisiana Tech rolling a perfect 300, the Red Wolves came away with a 1,092-1,078 margin to move to 2-0. A-State continued solid play with a 991-933 margin over No. 3 Vanderbilt before getting to 4-0 with a 978-688 advantage against Florida A&M. The Red Wolves topped host Tulane 1,066-972 in the finale of Baker games.
 
Vanderbilt leads A-State by nine pins in the team standings with a total of 5,193. Louisiana Tech (5,166), Wichita State (5,084), North Carolina A&T (5,012), Nebraska (5,003), Jackson State (5,002), Sam Houston (4,992), Tulane (4,989) and Duquesne (4,856) complete the top 10 in the 16-team field.
 
A-State faces No. 7 North Carolina A&T, No. 18 UAB, No. 5 Wichita State, No. 12 Duquesne and Jackson State in traditional matches Saturday.
