BOULDER, Colo. (9/29/26) – Henry Styles tied the program record low 36-hole total and the Arkansas State men’s golf is second among 17 teams after two rounds of the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational at Boulder Country Club.

Styles opened the day with a 7-under 63 and followed with a 6-under 64 to tie Thomas Schmidt’s 36-hole program record low total of 127. Going bogey free on the day, Styles produced two rounds that rank inside the top six in program history. Styles enters the final round on Wednesday with a five shot lead over Jaden Huggins of Long Beach State on the individual leaderboard.

Jake Wallis joins the top 10 at 5-under 135 after 36 holes. He totaled 4-under 66 in the first round and was 1-under 69 in the second to tie for seventh individually. Jake Lile posted consecutive par or better rounds with a 3-under 67 to open and an even-par 70 in the second to tie for 17th. Cole Kirby (E) is tied for 35th, Viggo Hed (+3) is tied for 57th and Milan Reed (+4) is tied for 63rd in the field that features 93 players.

Led by Styles, A-State posted its seventh and eighth consecutive rounds under par to open the season. The Red Wolves were 13-under 267 to start the day and posted 6-under 274 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 19-under 541, tied for the lowest 36-hole total in program history. Long Beach State leads the team standings at 22-under 538 while Colorado (-13), Denver (-9), Kansas City (-8), Utah (-8), San Diego (-8), Nevada (-3), UTEP (-1), Pacific (+2) and Northern Colorado (+2) complete the top 10 and ties.

The third and final round begins Wednesday with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. (MT). Live scoring is available on SCOREBOARD.
