MONROE, La. (9/29/26) – Arkansas State (3-4-2, 1-2-0 SBC) soccer picks up their first conference win of the season on the road at ULM (3-8-1, 0-3-0 SBC) Sunday afternoon with a 3-2 final score at Brown Stadium.
 
A-State’s aggressive attack throughout the first half gave multiple opportunities, with both squads taking multiple corners in the first 15 minutes. Even with four shots by each team, A-State made theirs count. A Freya Sinclair free kick set up about eight yards ahead of the box let Tindra Cederholm and Kennedy Horn connect for the first goal of the day in the 23^rd minute. Just minutes after the hydration break, Alex Schwartz set up a corner. Driving it into the box, Cederholm headed the ball center allowing Horn to redirect it for the 2-0 lead.
 
ULM turned up the heat in the second half, taking eight shots, seven on goal in the last 30 minutes. The Warhawks found the net twice to even the score at 2 apiece, scoring just three minute apart.
 
Arkansas State earned a penalty kick after a foul in the ULM box gave the Red Wolves the opportunity to retake the lead. Leigha Dobbins set up for the penalty, firing right, and punched away, but in play, by the ULM keeper. Horn followed up on the shot by burying the ball unopposed into the top left side of the net in the 73^rd minute. The Red Wolves held off ULM to earn their first conference win, and second road win of the season.
