JONESBORO, Ark. (9/21/26) – The Arkansas State Athletics family mourns the loss of a beloved member of its radio broadcast team with the passing Sunday, Sept. 20, of JC Cox.
 
We extend our deepest condolences to JC’s family, friends and colleagues. JC was not only a cherished member of our radio broadcast team as a football sideline reporter since 2022, he was more importantly a great friend and inspiration to us and countless others.
 
JC was a treasured member of our community, and we are grateful for the positive impact he had on many lives, including our A-State staff and student-athletes. A longtime media member and host of “Red Wolf Roll Call,” JC was passionate about and deeply devoted to the Red Wolves. He leaves a tremendous legacy behind that will not be forgotten.

As a memorial tribute to Cox and his devotion to Arkansas State, the clock tower of the Dean B. Ellis Library will be lighted scarlet on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 26, during the Red Wolves’ home football game against Kennesaw State.
