FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (5/29/26) – Junior thrower Menachem Chen and senior multi-events athlete Colby Eddowes concluded Arkansas State track and field’s competition at the NCAA West First Rounds on Friday at John McDonnell Field.
Chen competed in the men’s discus throw and finished at 27th with a distance of 53.68m (176-1.00). Eddowes advanced to the quarterfinal round of the men’s 110-meter hurdles and recorded a 20th-place finish with a time of 13.82.
NEXT UP
Chen and Omar Hussein will compete at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Both athletes are on the docket for the men’s shot put at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10.
The list of qualifiers advancing from the first rounds will be announced by 4 p.m. (CT) on Sunday, May 31, and the final list of championship participants will be announced by 2 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday, June 2.
