Sun Belt Conference
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (5/2/26) – Four Arkansas State track and field athletes competed in the men’s and women’s 800 meters on Saturday at the Music City Challenge.
Freshman Joe Edwards clocked in at 1:52.15 and finished 10th out of 46 contestants on the men’s side. The Memphis native has finished inside the top 10 in three of the four events he competed in during the 2026 outdoor season, including a third-place finish in the 800 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Mia Conroy led the A-State women with a time of 2:12.72 and placed 20th while Malena Cybak’s time of 2:13.50 put her two spots behind.

A-State’s next scheduled meet is the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 14-16 at the Jaguar Track in Mobile, Alabama.
