JONESBORO, Ark. (4/22/26) – Arkansas State senior reliever Cooper Garrison has been named to NCBWA’s Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List.
 
One of 61 pitchers in Division I baseball were recognized as some of the country’s best relievers. One of four Sun Belt representatives on the list, Garrison leads the conference in saves (7), and is tied for 22^nd nationally. Making 19 total appearances on the mound this season, Garrison is tied for third in the conference and tied for top-50 in the country.
 
Overall, the sidearm slinger has pitched 26.0 innings with 23 strikeouts, 26 hits allowed, 11 earned runs, and just three total walks. Garrison boasts a 1.07 WHIP, and is a key factor in one of the top pitching staffs and bullpens in the nation, which sits top-15 in ERA and WHIP.
 
His last appearance came Friday at ULM, where Garrison entered in the eighth inning, tossing the final 2.0 innings while allowing just one hit and one hit batter, with no runs and three strikeouts.
 
Garrison and the Re Wolves will return to action in the conference series at home against Louisiana, with first pitch on Friday, April 24 set for 6 p.m.
