JONESBORO, Ark. (4/12/26) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team closes out its regular season schedule hosting the A-State Spring Invitational beginning Monday at RidgePointe Country Club.
This is the second consecutive season with a home event in the spring. Prior to last season, the last spring event was the annual Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate in 2019.

Joining the Red wolves in the 11-team field are Bradley, Houston Christian, Lindenwood, Missouri State, New Orleans, Nicholls, Omaha, Oral Roberts, Southeastern Louisiana and Utah Valley. In total, 69 players are in the tournament field.

A-State is ranked No. 46 in the latest Scoreboard national rankings with a 112-18-1 head-to-head record. The Red Wolves have set a lineup of Thomas Schmidt, Jake Wallis, Milan Reed, Cole Kirby and Jake Lile for the play five and count for team scoring. Viggo Hed, Chris Sommerfield and Niels Knudsen will compete as individuals.

The Red Wolves have a program record 281.67 stroke average so far this season and three event titles, tied for the fourth-most in single-season program history. A-State enters the week with 18 par or better rounds, one shy of the program record set last season.

The 54-hole tournament begins with the first and second rounds played continuously on Monday with tee times beginning at 7:45 a.m. The final round begins Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. with split tee times.
