PITTSBURGH, Pa. (4/2/26) – Set to make its 18th straight appearance in the NCAA Bowling Championship, the Arkansas State women’s bowling team will face Belmont-Abbey Friday at 8 a.m. (CT) in its first match of the 2026 National Collegiate Bowling Championship Pittsburgh Regional.
 
18TH STRAIGHT TRIP
A-State is making its 18th consecutive NCAA Bowling Championship appearance. Nebraska (22) and Vanderbilt (20) are the only teams with longer active streaks of making the NCAA Bowling Championship.
 
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
The 2026 National Collegiate Bowling Championship is a double-elimination tournament using the mega-match format (traditional team game, 5-game Baker set and, if necessary, a best-of-seven Baker series). Sessions begin at 8 a.m. (CT) and 1:30 p.m. (CT) daily at AMF Mt. Lebanon Lanes in Pittsburgh, Pa.

19-TEAM FIELD
The NCAA began sponsoring bowling in 2004 with eight teams in the field. This is the second time the field has been 19 teams, which includes 10 conference champions and nine at-large teams.
 
RED WOLVES IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
The Red Wolves have appeared in 18 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, including the last 17 under head coach Justin Kostick. A-State has finished second (2008, 2021, 2023, 2024), third (2010, 2013), fifth (2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and seventh (2009, 2019). In the first season with regional play (2022), A-State was runner-up in the Lansing Regional. A-State finished third at the Pittsburgh Regional last season.
 
PITTSBURGH REGIONAL
Joined the Red Wolves in Pittsburgh are Nebraska, Duquesne, Saint Vincent and Belmont Abbey. Duquesne (Northeast Conference), Saint Vincent (Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) and Belmont Abbey (Conference Carolinas) earned automatic bids to the tournament while A-State and Nebraska were at-large selections. A-State is 77-34 on the season and 6-4 versus the regional field, 1-0 against Belmont Abbey, 2-1 against Duquesne and 3-3 against Nebraska.
