HUMACAO, Puerto Rico (3/3/26) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team is tied for third among eight teams following the first round of the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational at Palmas Del Mar Country Club Flamboyan.
A-State turned in a 17-over par 305 to tie Little Rock for third. Georgia State and Central Arkansas paced the field at 11-over par 299. Tulane (+18), Ball State (+19), Tarleton State (+22) and Western Carolina (+25) rounded out the eight teams.
Playing as an individual, Sofia Bastidas had the low round of the day among Red Wolves at 1-over par 73. Bastidas will enter the second round tied for fourth individually, two strokes back of individual leaders JJ Gregston (Ball State) and Alethea Paige Gaccion (Central Arkansas).
Mackenzie Cloutier led A-State among players counting toward the team total with a 3-over par 75 and is tied for ninth. Olivia Coit and Caroline Hughes each posted a 4-over par 76 to tie for 14th. Anne-Lea Lavoie (+6) is tied for 24th and Morgan Beaulieu (+7) is tied for 31st.
