TULSA, Okla. (2/28/26) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team earned a 4-0 sweep at Oral Roberts Saturday.
A-State (4-3) grabbed an early advantage with the doubles point winning at courts one and three. Oral Roberts (2-11) won 6-3 on court two over Anna Grigoreva and Helena Bueno, but the Red Wolves responded clinched the point with Sarah Millard and Hanmare McAslin winning 6-3 on court three and Lilly Cvanciger and Carla Muro Castellvi taking a 6-3 decision on court one.
McAslin gave the Red Wolves a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-0 win on court four against Abby Wise. Muro Castellvi moved the advantage to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Natalia Perez on court five. Meghna Arun Kumar clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-0 win on court six against Annelise Deer. With the matches clinched, court one was unfinished with Grigoreva leading 6-3, 2-5 while Cvanciger led 6-2, 2-5 on court two and Bueno led 6-3, 3-4 on court three.
The Red Wolves conclude the two-game weekend taking on Tulsa Sunday with first serve scheduled for 11 a.m.
