Carla Wehmeyer – Arkansas State

LINCOLN, Neb. (2/22/26) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team completed play at the Big Red Invitational placing seventh among 12 teams.
 
A-State (62-29) dropped the final traditional game of the event against No. No. 7 Maryville 990-914 to open the day. Ranked fifth in total pinfall entering the bracket, the Red Wolves met No. 5 Louisiana Tech and the Baker series went seven games with Louisiana Tech coming out on top, 214-191 in game seven.
 
The Red Wolves took seventh place with a 4-1 win over No. 14 Sam Houston in the Baker finale. A-State won the first two games of the series, 210-197 and 247-226, before Sam Houston got on the board with a 204-140 margin. The Red Wolves closed out the win 215-187 in game four and 222-183 in game five.
 
A-State heads to Smyrna, Tenn., March 6-8 and the Music City Classic for the regular season finale. The Conference USA Championship begins March 17 and NCAA Regionals begin April 2.
