JONESBORO, Ark. (2/12/26) – Arkansas State track and field will compete at three meets across the country in what will be the final weekend of action before the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships.
The Red Wolves’ distance athletes will compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston while two groups are scheduled for action at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., and the Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tenn.
A-State begins action in Boston with the men’s 800 meters at 9:30 a.m. (CT) and the men’s high jump at 10 a.m. (CT) opens competition in Nashville. The first event featuring a Red Wolf in Albuquerque will be the women’s long jump at 1 p.m. (CT).
The Don Kirby and David Hemery Valentine Invitationals will be streamed live on FloTrack while the Music City Challenge can be found on SEC Network+.

THREE THINGS TO NOTE:
LAST TIME OUT: The Red Wolves won two event titles and 18 athletes established new personal bests on Feb. 6-7 at the Fairgrounds Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. Zane Cattage and Gavin Schaer tied for first place with a distance of 2.02m (6-7.50) in the men’s high jump, while Kamil Przybyla clocked in a 1:49.34 in the men’s 800 meters to secure his second collegiate event title.
SBC MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Kamil Przybyla became the first Red Wolf to earn Sun Belt Conference Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors in 2025-26 by earning Men’s Track Athlete of the Week recognition on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The Wodzislaw Slaski, Poland, native’s time of 1:49.34 stands as the fastest among Sun Belt runners in the 800 meters and is the second fastest in A-State’s indoor history for the event.
BUGGS RUNS INTO THE TOP FIVE: Jada Buggs improved on her personal best time of 56.09 in the 400 meters, recorded at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, by five-tenths of a second (56.04) at the Fairgrounds Invitational on Feb. 6-7. The sophomore sprinter now ties Janaya Chambers (2017) for the fifth-fastest time in A-State’s indoor history for the event.
