INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (2/7/26) – Sophomore distance runner Kamil Przybyla secured his first collegiate event title in the men’s 800 meters as A-State track and field concluded competition at the Fairgrounds Invitational on Saturday.
Przybyla clocked in at 1:49.34 in the event and jumped from sixth to second in A-State’s indoor record list for the event. The Wodzislaw Slaski, Poland, native entered the weekend with the third-fastest time among Sun Belt runners in the 800 meters, trailing the league-best time of 1:50.11 by just over two-tenths of a second.
Sheldon Richardson and Alexis Waller also moved into the Red Wolves’ indoor record book in the second day. Richardson posted a time of 21.63 in the men’s 200 meters to claim the ninth-fastest time in program history for indoor track while Alexis Waller registered a distance of 12.37m (40-7.00) in the women’s triple jump to place sixth.
Waller finished third in the triple jump and Richardson rounded out the top five in the 200 meters.
Menachem Chen and Evan Stevens recorded second-place finishes in the men’s shot put and mile. Chen threw for a distance of 16.96m (55-7.50) in the shot put while Stevens crossed the finish line with a time of 4:14.46 in the mile.
Overall, six Red Wolves established new career bests and three more set new personal records in indoor events.

A-State track and field is scheduled to compete at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque and the Music City Challenge in Nashville on Feb. 13-14. The Red Wolves are also slated for action at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston on Feb. 13.
