JONESBORO, Ark. (10/29/25) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team announced its upcoming slate for the spring season, head coach Sujay Lama announced Wednesday.

“We have intentionally put together a challenging schedule to help us grow, become battle-tested, and prepare for conference and postseason competition,” said Lama. “This team embraces every challenge and thrives when pushed.”

A-State begins its spring slate Jan. 17 at Alabama, a program that narrowly missed the NCAA Tournament a season ago. Following a road match at North Alabama, the Red Wolves host their home opener Jan. 23 against Tennessee State. A-State then visits Arkansas on Jan. 25 before returning home to host UAB on Jan. 30.

The Red Wolves open February with a neutral-site match against BYU in Memphis, Tenn., on Feb. 6, followed by a Feb. 8 contest against Memphis — the defending AAC champions and an NCAA Tournament qualifier last season. A-State hosts Lamar on Feb. 14 before traveling to Florida for matchups against Mercer (Feb. 21) and Florida Gulf Coast (Feb. 22).

A-State continues its challenging slate with a Feb. 28 meeting against Oral Roberts, followed by a road test at 2025 NCAA Tournament qualifier Tulsa on March 1. The Red Wolves then visit Lipscomb on March 4 before facing Wichita State on March 13 in Indian Wells, Calif.

Conference play begins with a trip to Georgia Southern on March 20 and continues at Coastal Carolina on March 22. A-State’s final road match of the regular season is set for March 28 at UT Arlington. The Red Wolves close out the spring schedule at home against three consecutive Sun Belt foes — Troy (April 3), South Alabama (April 10) and Texas State (April 12).

The 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championships are set for April 22-26 in Rome, Ga.
