STILLWATER, Okla. (8/24/2025) – Arkansas State Soccer (1-1-2, 0-0-0 SBC) made a late push in the final 10 minutes with two goals, but fell short on the road at Oklahoma State (2-1-1, 0-0-0 B12)
The Cowgirls pressured early with 12 total shots in the first half, but Oklahoma State broke the scoring first with a 26th minute shot from outside the box, then found the net again just two minutes before halftime. Three saves in the first half from Demaris Deschaine in her busy first 45 minutes. The Red Wolves struggled to find opportunities in the first half themselves, with only two shots.
A third Cowgirl goal with 30 minutes left in the game kept A-State chasing. Kennedy Horn scored her third goal in as many games, taking a header from Alexia Watts, and heading it in herself. Just one minute later, a foul in the box gave Leigha Dobbins a penalty kick, which she drilled into the bottom right corner for a one-goal deficit. The Red Wolves went on attack for the final six minutes but were unable to find the equalizer.
