MARTIN, Tenn. (8/17/25) – Arkansas State soccer (1-0-1, 0-0-0 SBC) trailed for nearly 80 minutes at UT Martin (0-0-1, 0-0-0 OVC), but a late goal forced a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon at Skyhawk Soccer Field.
A-State recorded 11 shots and placed six on goal in the contest, while their opponents tallied 13 with nine on goal. The Red Wolves finished with more saves in the match (8-5), as Damaris Deschaine and Taylor Sweat finished with four apiece.
UT Martin netted the first goal of the evening at the 5:02 mark to claim a 1-0 advantage. With time winding down in the match, Keelyn Peacock and Leigha Dobbins provided the assist while Kennedy Horn sent the ball into the net via a header with 84:32 on the clock.
The Scarlet and Black took the final shot of the match with less than three minutes to go, but it would be blocked as the contest concluded.
